What is your Everest?
You can learn a lot from a book or a podcast. But the hard part isn’t information, it’s the follow-through. When life is noisy, your calendar is full, and the people around you don’t really get what you’re trying to build.
7 Summits Summit is a premium weekend at Sun Valley Lodge built around Mark Pattison’s SUMMITS methodology. You’ll use the same framework Mark teaches for finding direction, building discipline, and staying the course when life gets busy and the plan gets tested.
This is not a sit down, get inspired, go home programme.
The difference is simple: the speakers join you on the trails. Each day includes guided hikes from Sun Valley Lodge with beginner, intermediate, and advanced options. You’ll hike with a speaker and a small group, so the conversations continue where they actually stick: outside, moving, and away from the usual distractions
You’ll leave with
Your Everest in focus
You’ll define the summit that matters most right now and the WHY behind it, not a vague list of goals
Your "Pack Your Bag" Foundation
Fuel, body, mindset, focus, gratitude, and removing the negative voices that quietly sabotage momentum.
A rope team you can trust
You’ll build your support team and leave with real peers to stay accountable, not just new contacts.
A SUMMITS plan you can execute
A written plan with milestones, actions, and simple metrics so you can measure progress and adjust without losing direction.
The ability to TRAVERSE when life hits
Because it will. You’ll leave knowing how to zigzag around setbacks without taking shortcuts or quitting.
And yes, we keep it real: this weekend asks for commitment. Mark’s line is clear, it takes a little more to be a champion, and the work begins with what you do next.
So what’s your Everest and what happens when you commit to climbing it?
Inspiration
We begin by bringing you together with people who have earned their perspective through real challenge. Their stories are honest and deeply human, reminding you of what is possible when commitment outweighs comfort.
Challenge
Then we take you into the mountains. Away from distraction, effort becomes unavoidable. Step by step, you push past limits you once accepted, replacing doubt with confidence and resolve.
Community
From that shared experience, a lasting community is formed. Built through effort, trust, and support, it continues forward together, ready to take on bigger challenges and carry what was earned back into everyday life.
Your host
Mark Pattison has spent his life defying limits. As an NFL wide receiver, he battled in the trenches of professional sports, learning that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. But when the cheering stopped, Mark sought a new arena.
He turned his sights to the world's most extreme environments, setting a goal that would test him far beyond the gridiron: the Seven Summits. From the freezing death zone of Everest to the snows of Antarctica, Mark became the first NFL player to scale the highest peak on every continent.
Why He Leads: Mark knows what it means to face the impossible. He created this summit to share the "Summit Mindset"—the resilience, discipline, and clarity he found on the edge of the world—to help you conquer your own mountains.
The lineup
All all-star line up of America's most inspirational rockstars!
With you every step of the way will be speakers at the top of their game. Each have been on their own epic journey and ready to share the secrets to their success.
These are not motivational speakers.
They are people who have tested themselves in high-stakes environments and come back with clarity. They speak from experience, not theory, and focus on what actually works when things get hard.
Every session is designed to leave you stronger, clearer, and more capable.

Encouragement and guidance every step of the way
The environment is designed to be challenging — but responsibly managed.
How it works and who it's built for

Leaders navigating uncertainty or transition
Teams facing change, burnout, or high expectations
Adventurers, athletes, and high performers seeking renewed purpose
Inspiration: Before Things Get Hard
Day One
You’ll hear from a small group of speakers who have pushed themselves in different ways and gone through real transitions. They talk plainly about what worked, what didn’t, and what they learned the hard way.
This isn’t hype.It’s context.
You’ll walk away with:
A clearer sense of how challenge shapes decision-making
Real examples of navigating change without losing momentum
A solid understanding of what the next two days will require
The people speaking on Day One don’t leave after they’re done. They stay and become your guides on the mountain.
That matters.
Challenge: Effort, Resilience and Focus
Day Two
Day Two is where you put things into practice.
You’ll spend the day in the mountains with the same leaders who spoke on Day One. The route is demanding but designed to be achievable if you stay present and keep moving.
This isn’t about racing others. There are no podiums, no pressure to prove anything.
It is about discovering:
How you respond to fatigue
How you manage discomfort
How you keep moving when motivation fades
For some, it’s one climb. For others, it’s seeing how many times they’re willing to go back up.
The What’s Your Everest? Challenge is about meeting yourself honestly and learning what you’re capable of when conditions aren’t ideal.
Turn experience into direction, a stronger mindset and lasting performance after the event ends.
Day Three
Day Three is about making sense of what you experienced.
You’ll reflect on what showed up for you physically and mentally and how that applies to your life outside the mountains. Guided sessions help you identify what matters most right now and what you’re ready to change.
You’ll leave with:
Clear priorities and next steps
Practical commitments you’ve chosen, not been handed
A group of people who know what you just went through
You won’t be sent home with a temporary high. You’ll leave with direction and support to keep moving. And a community to hold you accountable for the next chapter of your journey....
